Welcome hibiscus32779. I am glad you found us. There are many forums for you to explore as well as encouragement and support here. You have admitted the abuse of alcohol and pills, I suggest you contact AA or NA fellowship in your area and start with going to a meeting. You will find that you are not alone. We are here for you.

Hello hibiscus and Welcome :74::67: Thank you for sharing with us. I aslo felt like you when I first started. My life was a mess. I wanted to kill my self and what was the use. Why should I go on. Then I was talking to a rep at work and it happen to be a counsler for AA and soon enough I was at rehab. and then meetings. I was able to see that there was a better way of living and that it didn't involve alcohol or drugs to make me happy or so called normal. I started to trust in someone besides myself. Under my own devices I was messing up my life. I just was willing to do anything and thats what I did. Today, life is great !!! There are many friends that are willing to jump in at any time to help me with whatever. Family is actually that. Work is not just a job. The best gift that I have recieved is the miracle of staying away from that first drink or drug one day at a time. You to can have all of this and more just by comming back no matter what and trying this program. Thank you.:D
