Dear Heavenly Father, I am grateful that You are a fair and just God and that You love all of us equally. I am amazed at Your love for each of us as individuals. You are wonderful! Lord, may we be like You, and treat all people with the same love and respect. Lord, deliver Your people from any prejudicial attitudes and actions. May we lift one another up and be kind to one another, as You are kind to us. Grace us so that we can do unto others as we would have them do unto us. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Gracious Lord God, Let us join together in praising You and counting our blessings, for we each have some, perhaps more than we realize -- we are here! Any day that one can get out of bed is a day to be grateful. We thank You for Your sustaining grace, Your protection, and for Your presence in our lives through good times and through trying times this past year. ... We pray for those who are suffering and need Your help. ... As You have blessed us, help us to be a blessing to others, in sharing where we can, and in praying that You will sustain them and supply their needs.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.

A Brilliant Star
Philippians 2:14-18
Dear Father,
Help me do what is needed without complaining or arguing, so that I may be blameless and pure.
Let me be your child without fault, a child of God, in a crooked and perverse generation.
Let me shine like a brilliant star in the night skies of your universe, as I hold out the word of life.
Make me a source of pride to those who led me to the Lord, so that they may know that their efforts were not in vain.
Let me rejoice together with all your saints and let them rejoice with me! Now and for ever!
In the name of Jesus, our star of hope. Amen.
