“Deeply moved, Jesus put out his hand, touched him, and said, “I want to. Be clean.” Then and there the leprosy was gone, his skin smooth and healthy.” Mark 1:41 The Message
What about…?
Your life … Your struggles … Your fears … Your deepest hurts … Your leprosy? What leprosy…? Those places in your heart that you carry with hidden shame. Those places in your mind that leave you thinking that you will never be clean. Those places on the inside that hold you hostage. We forget in our day to day moments how much our everyday lives “deeply moved” Jesus. Jesus knows what happens on the inside of lepers. He touched lepers like us. He still speaks cleansing words into the dirtiest places of life. He still speaks today in your life. He still frees hostages chained to past events and lingering scars. His exchanged-life freed you two thousand years ago and frees you today. What about you moves Jesus? Everything! It only takes a moment …
“That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served — and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage.” Mark 10:45 The Message
