Prayer for Sleep Despite Fears
O Lord, my nighttime fears are very real,
but so, too, is your love for me.
Help me take into my heart your desire for my safety,
and bring upon me a nightly peace
that erases all my anxiety and lets me sleep calmly,
to awaken refreshed
and fearful no more.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the privilege of serving my husband and family. Lord, give me the grace to take care of my family in the manner that is pleasing to You. Although I may not be called to accomplish all the many things the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 did, may I be faithful in my particular duties. You gift us in different ways, so empower me to use my gifts to bless my family, and bring glory to You. Give me Your love, so that I may serve out of love, and not duty. Lord, may I turn my daily tasks into celebrations of love. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, what gift can I give You, for You have everything? ... If You want to bring me into union with You, then I must heed Your words - I must deny myself, and take up my cross, and follow You. I must realize that Your words run counter to the world's "Do your own thing." ... What can I give You? I can give myself, my right to independence, so that I can become Your person. ... Oh Lord, this Christmas help me to love You enough to give You me - all of me.
In Your holy name I pray.
Amen.

Colossians 4:12-18
Dear Father,
Help us to remember each other earnestly in our prayers.
Help us to stand mature and to be fully assured in your will.
Help us encourage one another to carry our assigned works to completion.
Help us fulfil whatever ministry we have received in the Lord.
Help us to remember those who are in prison, and those who suffer in any way for your service.
May your perfect grace sustain and keep all of us.
In the name of Jesus I ask. Amen.
