Prayer for Life's Journey

May we know that it is the journey that is important. May we find our own truths and the divine within ourselves and in doing so help our fellow travelers to find their own. May we see each other through spirit and not through worldly eyes. Namaste

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for including the book of Proverbs in the Bible. Lord, may I take heed to the wisdom in this book and apply it to my life. Teach me truth, and give me knowledge and revelation of Your Word, so that I might live an overcoming life in this earth. Guide me so that I might daily walk in the Spirit and do the things that You have called me to do in my lifetime. May the contributions I make to this world be those that are inspired by You, and come from Your heart. Let Your will be done in my life now, and always. I ask this in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

December 30

Dear heavenly Father, as we review the events of this past year, we need to ask Your forgiveness, for too often we who call ourselves Your people must have grieved You! ... We have often stood by silently. ... Meanwhile our streets, homes, and schools are unsafe. Although our children have been taught Your laws at church and at home, they are often victims of others who are uninformed and undisciplined. ... Help us to see that absolute freedom can only bring chaos to a society, for no nation can long survive with each person doing his or her own thing! ... Help us to see that as Christians we too are citizens, and thus we have a responsibility to speak out on important issues. ... Give us the courage we need, lest we fail You, ourselves, and our children, and become a party to our nation's downfall.

In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen.

Filling the Earth with God's Goodness

Philemon 1-16

Dear Father, bestower of freedom,

Thank you for the love and the faith which you have put in your people. Please help them share this with each other and with the world. Let this promote the knowledge of all the good that is ours in Christ Jesus. Put such joy in our hearts and such gladness on our faces that people will want to know what makes us happy.

Help each of us to render such help and comfort, expressing our love, that the hearts of all your holy people will be refreshed. Help us not to make demands on each other, but to entreat, seeking consent, so that the good we ask from others might not be given through compulsion but through free will. Help us to bind up broken relationships. Help us to be willing to step into the breach, to enable others to make amends, even if it costs us money, effort, or time.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with our spirits. In his name I ask. Amen.
