Reflecting back on 2008

Good morning Family
As I sit here, awakened by the sounds of party goers returning from their New Years parties, I find myself reflecting back on this past year.
So much happened this year. First and foremost, I was able through the grace of my Higher Power, maintain my recovery one day at a time in 2008.

Creator handed me some challenges on a silver platter then sat back and watched what I would do with them. I was also handed many many gifts this year.


And for all of this and for each one of you, I thank you.

someone asked me recently what I learned this year & it struck me as a good subject to reflect on. So here goes, this year I learnt..1. to remain sober after my baby's father finally left. 2. to start jogging. 3. to forgive someone who had caused major problems for me. 4. to heal some relationships with people I really care about 5. how to start enjoying the single life 6. what real friendship is & to be less judgemental 7. see what is really important in life 8. that I'm really no different to anyone else. 9. that I'm no longer cool & probably never was - what a relief.. 10. into every life a little rain must fall. 11. that anything of quality requires effort 12. that AA is as important today as the day I walked in the door.
