How hard it is to watch!

It would seem to watch a loved one go through trying to recover over and over and over and over again feels much like watching your child be hurt and rather having it be you than the child. The helplessness of watching, waiting and praying is bottomless pain... and then I turn it over to a higher power (or at least try and try not to use my self soothing addiction to cope).

Getting it out of my body here helps some. So thank you for the forum.

Anytime we can focus on the positive aspects of our lives, helps releive the pain of watching loved ones suffer. I understand your feelings. (My X and my son).

The pain is real! I don't want to ignore my feelings, nor do I wish to become paralized by them either. The solution for me is steps, sponsor, meetings, service...

I too understand watching with nothing but heartache wanting to fix it or just pray one day they will get it. Espically when its a family member as mine is.
Please keep on coming back ok & sharing with us. There is so much wonderful stuff here and lots of support as well.

Im going to put a couple of songs here for you and i pray they help you. Music helps me alot and gets me through alot. The one i sit and watch over and over has has so very many overdoses on ventilators and everything else.Its been very painfull knowing theres nothing i can do but pray as well.
