Hi,my names Jon and im hoping to be able to come back to this in 6 months time,still sober,and be able to view my progress in recovery so far.
At the moment im still finding life difficult and lonely since putting the drink down.Keeping the drink down isnt that difficult,but im finding life far more difficult.
I guess for me its all a matter of growing up.I started drinking alcoholically at about the age of 22.I feel very much still that age emotionally since due to my intoxication and using alcohol as a way of coping (or not coping) with life.I never really grew up emotionally.So,for me,today,im learning to grow up emotionally.And,as a child emotionally,i cannot grow up without the help of others to guide me and support me in this process.Today i so need the support of the fellowship of AA to guide me and support me.The best thing is,its working,ever so slowly and sometimes painfully,but it is working.
Like i say i hope in 6 months to come back to this and read how i have progressed.God willing,one day at a time,i'll get there.:D
