Well hello to everyone, today is Day 1 again for me. I've never attended an NA meeting before, aiming to get the courage to go to one this week. I fell kinda stupid posting here when its day number one but I need to stop taking drugs and this site has really brought me around to the 12 step program way! I'm currently homeless and have lost everything thanks to my addiction. I just hope i can remain clean this time. working currently on the concept of "just for today". . :24:

HI and welcome. Congrats on day one! It's no fun to lose everything and be homeless. I hope that you do find help though NA or AA and these boards. I know that AA and the site has help me so much in my recovery. Keep coming back!

Hello Thirteen and welcome to CRF. We are here to support and encourage you as you begin this journey of sobriety. The path is not easy but you do not have to do it alone. We are here for you. Congratulations on your one day clean, that's how we all do it: One day at a time. Each of us has only a daily reprieve. Please continue to post. After over 40 years of using and drinking, by the grace of God, AA and friends in the fellowship and these boards I have been substance free for 19 months. I had the honor of witnessing a group member receive his 40 year coin....miracles do happen and you are one. Keep coming back.

Congrats on Day One!!!! That is where we all begin!!! :29:
You have found a wonderful source of recovery information, support and compassion in this site. I come here daily....sometimes several times a day. Some wonderful threads to gain motivation from...and to know I am not alone.
Make sure to hit those meetings. You will find so much support there!!!
God Bless You!

Day One is huge! We can't do anything without having to start somewhere right? You've taken that first step toward fulfilling a new life. Grats! Don't EVER feel stupid for anything you've done. You simply made some ill advised decisions, with some bad consequences. Now in your new life, those will no longer happen as your think patterns and though processes become clearer. Grats again, and keep coming around and sharing.
