I'm new to the forum. Been sober since 1989 (what a hoot), never would have thought that could happen. This has been an interesting year, unemployed for 9 months, finally found a job at 60% of my previous income...there was a real struggle for gratitude:rolleyes:!
found time to publish a magazine called Serenity
Sponsored a handful of guys that absolutely refuse to get drunk (praise God),
stayed relatively sane during some tuff eonomic times...and found my passion for AA growing in spite of myself.
God Bless,
John

Hey johnswork,

Sorry you had a year llike the one you did but you gave me hope tonight! My husband and I have been unemployed for 4 weeks since his business closed. Unemployment is giving us a hard time because it was a corporation. We're taking it a day at a time, an hour at a time. We have a house with a mortgage and 3 teenage sons.
All I can do is accept, do what I can, and put the rest in God's hands.
Because of being unemployed, I've found 3 great alanon meetings and a women's Bible study. To stay grateful, you've got to focus on the good. Best!
