There is a first time for everything, apparently.
I am here for help. Though I would love face to face help, this is not really an option at the moment, so I have sought out on-line support. Welcome to the modern world, eh
I drink too much... I have for many years. I am very afraid at the moment because I seem incapable of putting the brakes on, much less stopping. I have known for years that I am an alcoholic. I am 33. I am shocked at how bad this has become. I am shocked at how totally out of my control this all seems.
I don't know where to go from here...any help or suggestions at all will be appreciated!

My suggestion is to see your doctor and be honest with them about how much you drink and let it go from there. We cannot help you through a detox it has to be medically supervised. We can talk you through a craving though and be a good support system for you. We understand and we care.

The Readiness Is All
As we follow the path of the inner voice, timing plays a critical role. We draw to ourselves the experiences we need, when we need them.
As each phase is mastered, the next appears. It is when we try to force or rush things that trouble arises. Children who are pushed to achieve too early in life burn out at a young age. Receiving something before you are ready for it can be worse than not getting it at all.
This is why a wise person once said, "I pray not for enlightenment, but simply to be ready when it comes."
Sometimes we think that we are ready for some good when in fact we are not. The delays we suffer often indicate that more time & preparation are needed. Several years ago, a friend wrote a screenplay that she was sure was ready to be made into a movie. At the time, no one was interested. Five years later, she became inspired to rewrite the script & alter the plot. A studio immediately made an offer.
If you are facing delays in your plans, remember the saying, "With every delay, there's a blessing on its way." Be patient & do what is required. When the time is right, the result you are seeking will manifest itself with ease. And because you are ready for it, it will be ready for you.
Affirmations
My life unfolds in perfect Divine order. As I open myself to success, success opens to me. Whatever I am ready for is ready for me. I am ready for prosperity & abundance to flow into my life. I live according to the Universe's time schedule.
With every delay, there's a blessing on it's way.

Alcohol's Promise
I am more powerful than al the combined armies of the world.
I have destroyed more men than all the wars of the nations.
I have caused millions of accidents and wrecked more homes
than all the floods, tornadoes and hurricanes put together.
I am the world's slickest thief,
I steal billions of dollars each year.
I find my victims among the sick and poor alike,
the young, the strong and the weak.
I loom up to such proportions that I cast a shadow
over a field of labor. I am relentless, insidious and unpredictable.
I am everywhere, in the home, on the street,
in the factory, in the office, on the sand and in the air.
I bring sickness, poverty and even death.
I give nothing and take all.
I am your worst enemy.
I am alcohol.
I am patient and I am waiting.
