Last night i was at a 12-step recovery meeting, and the person beside me was to pass the basket to me for donations to the group and was playing around instead of giving it to me. I said "I didnt want to play games" after all i was there to listen anyway, and he cussed at me. I managed to hold my tongue and not reply to him. Went home and prayed asking God to help me forgive. He helped me do just that. I knew i had a choice to hang on to it and be upset or turn it over and forgive. I feel so much better when i practice the spiritual principles rather than just reacting to things said. I remember all the times for me when i acted inappropriately. It helped me to remember that i am very human, and can have those same tendencies. Reminds me to stay humble and forgive. Thanks for letting me share.
