Does anyone know how long it has to be since your last dose of pain meds before you can safely take Suboxone? I've recently relapsed and am seeing the suboxone doc in the morning but have taken several hydrocodone today. I should be in mild to moderate withdrawls by then , but just dont want to induce withdrawls by taking the suboxone to early.
Thanks

Iv been on Soboxone fer 3 weeks now and have'nt wanted or needed a pill , the dr needs to see how bad you are going threw withdraw in order to asses your condition so take your last dose in the morning , and then the next day (in the morning) you see the dr , he will give you a dose of Soboxone after he sees your true condition , dont you worry this will all be over and you will feel great win its all done.:12:

The substitution of one drug for another is not recommended in any NA literature.
" We tried countless other remedies-psychiatrists, hospitals, recovery houses, lovers, new towns, new jobs. Everything that we tried, failed. We began to see that we had rationalized the most outrageous sort of nonsense to justify the mess that we had made of our lives with drugs."
This suboxone stuff is a drug. As any habit forming drug. It is mood and mind altering. It will require a withdrawl period same as any other addictive drug.
2 suggestions: First, get to an NA meeting and LISTEN
Second, do not take medical advice from newcomers (or any member of NA ,or anyone online for that matter) on how you should "dose" yourself. That is just repeating the same mistakes over again and expecting different results.
