I am having difficulty understanding this website. It is comprehensive and maybe I just want that quick fix.

I really need to be here, feeling very low. Maybe a little patience?

I am glad that you are here. There is so much here to sort through so a little patience will help. Please let me know how I can help you to navigate the site.

Hey, don't give up, I am also three days with out a drink! Had my first AA meeting today and that HELPED A LOT! Even though I did not want to go, I went anyway. You have no idea how much I wanted to have a drink after I left the meeting in order to calm my nerves. But I didn't. Let's stay here together - I am also new member, and found that the people here are very supportive!
Best,
Lola

Thanks LOLA73,

Congratulations on your 3 days, I was there last week.

I have been showing up to meetings and today was the first day that it felt good.

Thank you for sending me a note, it is an inspiration. We'll keep going to meetings together. I am here if you need an ear (or eye). LOL:)

Hey Deb,
Congrats on your 10 Days!
:84:

I am on my fourth today. Went to another meeting today and listened to many valuable stories. One of which brought me to tears. Plus, before I went I wanted a drink, just one little tiny drink/beer/wine, to calm me down. LOL - The energy and positive attitude from members kept me going. I ended up coming home not wanting the drink anymore. I learned something today...we recover one day at a time.

Keep it up and stay strong -

Bless,
Lola

Good morning Lola,

I had a great meeting yesterday as well. I had a full day yesterday and didn't want to do any of it. Spoke with my sponsor and I decided "Just Do It". I did and I got a temporary work assignment (I have been out of work since July).

I am so grateful.

Thanks Deb

I'm glad you did not get that one drink. Remember, you can't get drunk if you don't take that first drink:1:

4 days. That proves that every set back is just a set-up for a comeback. Keep coming back
