Hey all, hav'nt been here in a looooong time, since the change to the new site. Im a recovering heroin addict 10 years this past august, Im really struggling lately and could use some words of wisdom from anyone who has some. Im feeling like everythings going backwards, things were going really good for me for a long time and now the bottom fell out. Like I said Im struggling,

Ah..ten years seems to be a landmark by which ones bottom drops..once again! Cant tell you how many times my bottom has hit the floor and the PooP has gone through the fan...but I held on each time, didnt use and came out the other side.....One thing the bastards cant take from me is my clean time...so I hold on to that no matter what.

It doesn't matter what the substance...its all the same-drug is a drug...

Make more meetings, get more involved, grab a newcomer....all these things got me through lifes s**tstorms...clean.

Im an opiate addict ,,,,not sure if that seperates me but it is good to know there is others out there that do know what its like to puke and **** green stuff at the same time...Comfort measures

Hey all, thank you for the replys Im having a bad day, week, months, you are all right I do need to get back to basics. Ive slacked off on meetings and been isolating to much. Its wild how quick things can change, how the stinkin thinkin creeps back in, we really do need to keep taking our medicine. For me thats meetings, meetings, meetings. I want my peace and serenity back, Im still clean but I need to get back to sober. know what I mean?
