dissapointed

I have to say that I am really dissapointe I the outcome of the very controversial thread started by intothelight.It was deleted.I would of ecpected mike to step up and make what his intentions know and get involved in the thread.In stead it was killed before it was started.I do think it was a bit rough and to the point but so is recovery.We are all here to co-exsist but I think it should be know that mike doesnt folow the 12 steps.After all next to ask mike is a AA symbol(a bit misleadding).Mike you and I are freinds I respect yourt right to do your thing.You have alot of good stuff going on>I rerallt believe that.I do think that intothelight was a valuable person here and hope that she was not booted.I think administration should of not jumped so quickly and let mike respond and let him choose to report.I know I had to report someone thge other day who called me a fatass pigheaded person who is inevetable going to drink.And I did notice they are still postting after I repoerted them>I have to aske is it becouse mike is a sponsor.Maybe I am goign overbaord here.I respect the right to express you opinion and would of loved to see the thread as mike and intothelight went back and forth comparrring the types of recovery.I bet we all could of learned from it..Maybe this isnt the site for me after all

Thanks very much for your post. It's always good to hear from you.

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed, but like I said everything happens for a reason, and I'm sure the administrators have their reasons for allowing some threads to continue while deleting others.

As far as I know this forum is moderated by volunteers who are not paid for the long hours they put in trying to keep the threads a safe and courteous place for all.

As far as me responding to people's questions, I always answer people as quickly as I can, and I have nothing to run or hide from in any discussions with any person here.

For the record, nobody is paying me to be here, nor am I a paying sponsor of the site. I am here strictly on a volunteer basis. Yes, I make myself available for hire to people if they so desire, and yes, at times I charge people an awful lot of money for a lot of the same information that I share freely in this forum. To me it makes no difference whether people say I do it for the money or I do it for the love. I know what's in my heart and that's good enough for me.

Also, I make no claims to be associated with AA in any way. Not sure what AA symbol you are referring to, but I assure you it was nothing I intended. If anything, I make a point of disassociating from AA, while still being respectful of other people's paths.

Hope that clears things up, and hope we can all finally let this go and get on with other topics.
