A while back i was addicicted to xanex, i fell inlove with the drug, taking 8 to 12 mgs a day. if i didnt have xanex i would hopefully have some hydrocodone, vicodin ect. Long story short i went through ALOT and eventually got clean. The withdrawls were unbearable but i got through it. Shortly after i got a great job as a carpenter working full time it was great! until one day me and my cousin were looking for some weed and got offered oxycontin instead. We bit, and bit hard. After that day a small pill imprinted with oc became very impotant to me. And then it became a nessesity that 30 doller 40mg oc did not give me the feeling it once did. in fact i started doing 20mgs and ended doing 200mgs daily, if things went well. After a while my budget could not aford my habit. Im 48 hours cold turkey and it's hell. Any advice would be great.

CONGRATULATIONS on the first step - honesty to ourselves is sometimes the hardest of all. Can you get to a meeting???

I do not have a lot of advice to offer as far as pills go,but congrats on quitting. As suggested above, have you tried a NA meeting? They are chalk full of information for you and your detox and some one shortly will be around to give you more advice. (((((((((((huggies to you))))))))))

Cold turkey withdrawl is defly hell, but dangerous as well, I would seriously go to a Dr. amd seek medical advice if u can...
