Even when we stray from the path, the power of God's love for us cannot be lost. It can be rejected, denied, hidden behind our guilt. But all rejection, denial, and secret guilt have limits.
Our connection to divine love can be narrowed, covered up, or attenuated, but it can never be completely shut down. Beneath all our distortion and attempts to manipulate one another, God's love for us remains pure and untainted. It may be hard for us to access this love when we are trying to control, but when we are ready to let go and open our hearts, it is not difficult to reconnect with it.
