Not all of here may not have the same drug of choice, but we are all here to help each other in recovery. Though cocaine was not something i did, i I am still here for you. Welcome Dana! I'm Frannie, recovering addict since 8/20/05. I am so happy for you that you are interested in recovery -- it's a much better way of life, plus it keeps you sane and alive! Have you gone to a CA meeting yet? I love the ones in my area, Atlanta, GA. Please come back and keep sharing.

:76: & :77: Dana! I used cocaine in the last years of my drinking. The recovery process is the same no matter what the substance. Going to meetings, getting a sponser and working the 12 steps. You may want to go to Narcotics Anonymous. The 1st step is admitting you're powerless over your substance and that your life is unmanagable. Recovery happens one day at a time. You have to stop using for recovery to begin. Good luck. :72:

I totally agree Dana. Anything that alters your mind into thinking that something is different when it's not, deserves to be looked at. To me what's important, no matter what we used, is that we cannot recover alone. That is why support is key to recovering. You came to the right place for that Dana, we are a big family here no matter whether alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, etc, was our addiction. We all help and support eachother towards one destination: "recovery"

I'm Anne an alcoholic/addict from BC, Canada. :48: :91: :57:

To quote Rick James... "Cocaine is a hell of a drug."

But people do recover if they have the desire. God be with you Dana.

check out the NA forum, you'll probably find good help there.

You know, Cocaine Anonymous uses the same Big Book that is used in AA, they just change the words.

Love ya later. Kai
