Good Morning!
Got a call this morning from American Express ... at 4:30 am ... and a woman with a Brooklyn accent was quite piqued with me because I did not know the account number of the AE credit card belonging to the office where I work. While I admit I am not at my perkiest at 4:30 am, having someone nattering at me in high-pitched Brooklynese is not the best way to ensure my co-operation.
I finally managed to interrupt her long enough to interject the time and the fact that it was an office account, not mine; she seemed quite alarmed to learn that it was NOT 10:30am in Hawaii, when it was 10:30am in New York. I guess the "world is round" concept has not made it to the East Coast. *yawn*
