If we sincerely desire to change our way of life, take personal inventory on a regular basis and pay attention to the sharing of other recovering friends, we will discover that we are not unique. All people get upset occasionally and are not always "right". Through this awareness, we develop the ability to be forgiving and understanding and to love others for who they are.

By being kind, courteous and air, we will often receive the same in return and can expect to achieve harmony in many of our relationships. As we progress in our recovery, we see how pointless it is to become angry or to allow others to inflict emotional pain on us. Taking periodic, regular inventory and promptly admitting our wrongs keeps us from harboring resentments and allows us to maintain our dignity and respect for ourselves and others.

I take a daily inventory every night as reccomended by the BB. I discover what my character defects are, ask for forgiveness and ask that they be removed. Some defects are more persistent than others for me so I include a reading from the BB in my morning meditation.
