I got this in e-mail ... there are still people without power in parts of Nebraska. Fortunately (for me) this storm missed my part of the State ...

I think i am still waiting for the shock to wear off after viewing all that. I am extremely grateful that it missed you Carol :42: Find myself thinking and praying for all those affected by this ice storm :195:

WOW!!!!!

Carol, I also am glad this storm missed you, will certainly be keeping everybody in my prayers.

I must admit I am amazed at the photography, simply WOW!!!!, they are stunning pics and I had no idea ice storms could do so much damage!!!!....thank's for sharing this site.

Thanks for the link. The pictures were really wow. I remember the ice storm we had here several years ago. I was standing at the edge of our garage about 6:30 the next morning. It was eerily silent except for you could hear trees snapping every now and then in the woods around me. We lost power for about 36 hours but others in towns surrounding us lost power for much longer. It was a mess.

We had an ice storm last winter. We were without power for 5 hours. Some residents were without power for a week! I never experienced a black out in the winter. NY has blackouts in the summer. Since everything in my apartment is electric I had no heat or a way to cook. I went out in the storm with a neighbor that night to buy cold cuts. The store still had power. I'd never experienced anything like that storm before.
