Never in my life did I think I'd be joining a group like this (don't mean that to sound bad), but I'm talking more about my circumstances and not the people in the group itself.
Anyways, from what I see, looks like a nice bunch.
So hi...:17:

Thanks guys, basically I'm an ACOA, sadly and unfortunately enough.
Never really realized how serious of a problem it was till now.
I'm trying to convince myself at 30 years of age that's it's never too late to get on with life, but that is more than a tall order for me right now...but hey.
Thankfully a customer of mine who is a recovering alcoholic told me about ACOA meetings locally.
So I thought before going to any of those meetings, I'd check things out online.
Thanks for the welcome.:17::1:

KBA123 what is an ACOA? Many of us had horrible situations coming in. Personally I was homeless, went to jail 3 months sober and had no job and absolutely no reason to live but to pay bills. Hang out keep an open mind and you might just find some friends who have been through what you are going through and/or worse.....Remember we shall not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.

Oh sorry, Tipp' I assumed everyone knew what ACOA meant. Adult Child of an Alcoholic.
This forum. :) http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12
Like you, I feel that's all I'm living for, paying the bills. As for the past, perosnally, I feel like it's better to shut the door on it, but i could be wrong, maybe I'm not. I guess I'll learn.
