LIVING THE SOLUTION WITH DAILY INSPIRATION
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." (Zephaniah 3:17 — New International Version)
Has it ever crossed your mind that God wants to delight in you, to rejoice over you with singing? We all know we are to sing to God, to sing His praises, to sing of His good works, his love for us and His provision in our lives. But do we really understand that God loves us so much that He wants to delight in us and wants to rejoice over us with singing? Well, it’s clear in Zephaniah 3:17 that this is what God desires to do. So why do we not hear Him doing that? Why do we not feel like we are worthy of being sung over?
Well, first of all, we are usually too busy with our lives to talk with God. In our time with God we should be telling Him what we want or need, praying for others, sitting still and being quiet long enough for God to talk to us. We should just slow down, sit and be still, listen and wait for Him. When we are living our lives they way we know we should God delights in us. He is longing to tell you how much He loves you if you would just “chill” and let Him. And as far as being worthy, of ourselves we are not, but through Him and His son Jesus we are made more than worthy.
So take time this week to slow down. Sit and “chill”, close your eyes and focus on God, and let Him love you, delight in you, and sing over you. Let Him tell you that you are a beloved son or daughter.
