Greetings from Iowa

Well greetings everyone,

My name is Joel and I am from Iowa. I am a very greatful recovering alcoholic and wish I could say that I have been sober for about 10 months now. Unfortunately I kind of lost my way and had a relapse around the 9th month.

Don't judge me to harshly, I set myself up for the relapse...and I know now that it was more about fearing success with anything that lead me to that relapse. (I didn't drink that much or my usual type, just enough to start counting over again.)

I have been sober for 4 weeks and 1 day so far and I have rededicated myself to my recovery. I had lost sight of why recovery was important to me and when the opportunity came up...well you know what happened.

I am going to make recovery the primary focus of my life from now on. I plan on leaving no stone unturned when it comes to recovery with this new chance I have been given.

Right now I feel pretty positive and good about life. Better over the last few hours than I ever have in the past.
