My name is Greg. Just found this site and wanted to say hi. After 12 years clean I recently relapsed, in truth the relapse started long before I used. I'm really struggling with the guilt and shame of the past 6 months. I destroyed a marriage, lost my home and nearly destroyed my business. Any experience with picking up the pieces would be appreciated.

:67: Greg, :17: So very glad to have you join us. I relapsed a few times myself. I just kept coming back. Each time I picked myself up and dusted myself off and came back. I put one foot in front of the other taking life one day at a time. There have been times when I had to break that down into minutes and seconds. Please know that we are here for you. Keep coming back and sharing with us. :42:

Good support from my friends in the program were what helped me pick up the pieces of my horrible feelings of my 2 relapses, Greg. A good sponsor also helped me alot. She got me turned back to working the steps of the program beginning with step 1. I had over a year when i had first one, later i had one at a little over 6 years. Today i appreciate all her help and so many others who put up with me while i was beating myself up. But my sponsor, said i needed to put down the stick and start working the steps again. It wasnt until i put down the stick that i started feeling better.
Glad you are here Greg :91:
