What Step is he working on? (he asks sarcastically)
Just trying to let things roll off me ... difficult from time to time ... in particular, someone who uses the word "queer" in a annoying fashion while he speaks at a meeting.
It sounds similar to someone who might think using the term "N*****" in certain contexts, is being proper. Neither works for me ... Also uses the phrase having his "panties in a bind". Seemingly messing with me tonight with the support of other home group members standing in the kitchen (other particulars omitted). Then when I go to shake his hand or give a hug, he makes a lower-body-swing-avoidance-move like I was going to grab him in his groin. What Step is he working on? What Step are they working on? Going for a laugh, while making someone else feel like "Not Coming Back"?

when one's at meetings act such as this but we need to always remember as my Sponsor has pointed out to me often many even after being in the Program for some time are still very sick in our minds all we can say to ourselves is "by the grace of God there go I" and thank God that he is working on us in All Areas Of Our Lives that's the key stopping drinking and using are just the first step after that we realize that we need to let go of many other old ideas our thinking was warped from our drinking and using some put the plug in the jug but that is about it they are still un-moral in many ways yes they are still sick as hard as it can be at times "we need to treat them as we would a sick person" many blessings sent from Mountainman |
