Icon18 First day

so far 11 hours and 13 minutes without a cigg....... so far the cravings are not so bad, but then again I am chewing the nicorette gum.....and I haven't eaten lunch yet. That is prolly my most enjoyable cigg is after a meal. any other time I suffocate msyelf

my friend is coming to get me and take me out to lunch and he doesn't smoke so I will have support through that craving.

just posting some progress and keeping myself committed and accountable.

light and love

Gail

thanks to you all....

beginning of day 3 and so far I have made it through all my triggers......
morning cigs
after meals
on the phone
driving the car
commercials
ect.......

so far so good, I am noticing not so much the cravings or withdrawals.....but I sure am noticing the conditioned behavior surrounding smoking more than the withdrawals.

The automatic reach into my purse for the pack
the automatic response to get up from a commercial and go outside
the automatic conditioned response to start the engine and then lite up
answering the phone and looking for a lighter

all that stuff is soooo conditioned into me.....that the behavior is the first thought and the smoking is the afterthought.....does that make sense?

wow never knew what a robot I had become surrounding the smoking.

now I am on the path to freedom from those things

light and love

Gail
