Has anyone tried meditation or yoga?

I have been doing both meditation and yoga. I find it to be very beneficial in reducing stress and keeping myself centered. I have been doing simple yoga and the meditation cd's I use are called Mindfulness Meditation.

Does anyone else use these techniques to help them stay clean?

I have tried meditation, and it is very restful but hard for me personally to sustain. I never thought of using it as part of recovery, but that seems to be a great idea.

I believe I was told in treatment that meditation accesses the para sympathetic nervous system and that is what drugs do as well. Maybe someone smarter than me will know about it and straighten me out if I got it wrong.

Meditation is a wonderful way to enhance my recovery, but my clean time comes from my higher power who sends me lots of ways to enjoy my life while I stay clean.

For meditation enables me to reduce stress so that I can think clearly and commicate better with my higher power.
