Why do I need to stay connected with other ex-smokers?

While you're quitting, talking to someone who can simply listen and be supportive is a powerfully effective recovery tool. Entire 12-Step and self-help programs are based on the principle that healing occurs when two people with similar issues talk and listen to one another. Make a list of those friends, family members, or professional care-providers that you can call when you're having a difficult time. Then, you can 'talk it out' rather than 'smoke it out'. Online, many find that 'writing it out' offers the same benefits. http://www.quitnet.com/ExpertSystem/...%5C4%E12%D0%F7 |
