AN ADDICT'S CRY

I'm sick and tired of being lonely and depressed.
Waking up each day in the same old mess.
I'm tired of feeling like a loser and the scum of the earth,
When I know that's not what God had planned for me at birth.
I'm tired of lie after lie, when all I want to do is die.
I'm tired of scheming and scamming the ones I love,
Especially in front of God above.
I'm tired, so tired but still I push on,
When will it end—when my life is gone?
Help me Lord please hear my cries.
Don't let it be too late, don't let me die.
Day after day living in despair and feeling like no one really cares.
Give me one more chance to make things right,
And give me the strength to hold on tight.
