Let us not rush and demand perfection all at once; it would only blind us. If we are impatient, it is impossible to work a daily program; but if we are patient, we can learn to see our daily opportunities for growth.
We can't develop a new relationship with our Higher Power overnight. It is worth waiting for, striving for. Let us not go too fast but simply count each day as an opportunity.
Am I learning patience?

Day by Day

This is one of my greatest defects of character, impatience. It often leads to many other defects such as anger, having too higher expectations of myself and others, perfectionism and so forth. Having patience is somethign I strive towrds. I was watching Dr Phil on tv the other week and he was discussing the issue of anger and rage. He said that too many people these days had what they called was "rush syndrome." This is where they speed arpund and are always in a hurry in their actions and thoughts. They are potential candidates for for a heart attack and lack pateience and have low thresh holes for tolerance. I'd say that I would be a likely candidate for this. However, I am already improving as I am learning to slow down my thinking so I can identify my feelings. I pray daily for more patience towards myself and particularly with others.

Good reminder,,,I want to get this figured out all at once, all by myself!! LOL
Now that I am slowly learning to let go (i.e. not f$%k it, whatever, let go, but with my head and my heart in the right place let go....veeeery different) I can feel the daily pressure release a little bit. Thank you.
