A search engine says 64 times in the first 164 pages ...

Thanks Carol!

I did a search and came up with this answer:

Quote:
Reply: By my count, 127 times if you count God given and God's.
There are also two more times in the roman numerals, but that is not considered the 1st 164 pages. (1-164) http://www.aahistory.com/ask222/view...ndingEntry=133
Anyone else?

Re: How many times is God mentioned in the Big Book?

Take what you like and leave the rest ...

http://www.whytehouse.com/big_book_s...=0&sf=0&page=0

67 pages, by my count, 76 references, includes four that are outside the first 164 pages -- might call for a recount ... :icon_cheesygrin:

http://www.164andmore.com/words/god.htm

298 passages ... Big Book AND 12x12

http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp_i...p_f=iso-8859-1

Oops! 64 PAGES, a quick count showed +/- 134 references

Now the question I pose is: How important is God to our recovery?

For me, that is not a difficult question.. but I would love to hear from others.
