Smile tired of being sick and tired

I'd had enough. I could no longer continue to exist on "self will run riot" I'd learn to drink and use dry goods in the service of Uncle Sam's Army. I was a good little soldier. I 1st heard the message of AA at Tripiler Medical Ctr,
locked in a psych ward in 1980. I couldn't or wouldn't identify. I needed more convincing, so I went and got me some more misery. Three treatment centers and 6yrs later I surrendered to the 1st step. I have tried to the best of my ability to work this program the way I chased my habits, some days are more successful than others. There are grand cousins and great grands that have never seen me drunk. I am truely grateful to my GOD for for the past 21yrs of "living life on life's own terms" I have recently been very complacent about my recovery. I got myself twisted in a relationship that has removed my serenity and peace, and I'm darned angry about it. I can only take responsability for my role in it, relationships are two sided. There was only one person in mine..me. I feel a great deal of guilt and remorse, but not enough to drink or use, once again you guys came to my rescue. I will forever be grateful to this fellowship for giving me my life back multipal times.
