I stopped smoking!

My ex girlfriend got married last May 5 and everything between us were done.. I was badly hurt... I promised a total changed so then, from that day...

1. I stopped smoking (smoking since 2001)
2. I go to gym for 3 times a week (never done before)

Do you think this is a good idea?... it's been hard to quit smoking during the firt 5 days but it's getting better now.. I just drink plenty of water when I want to smoke...its working..

Hi vwonder123! Glad to have you join us here. Please make yourself at home. I think stopping smoking is an excellent idea. I, myself, stopped smoking last year on March 16, 2007. I feel so much better for doing so. I also joined quitnet.com which I found helpful. We also have a forum on the board here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/...splay.php?f=48 for Nicotine Anonymous. Please feel free to check it out when you get a chance. We have an Online Journals forum here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/...splay.php?f=29 that some use in their everyday recovery. Please feel free to start a journal of your own there. I look forward to hearing more from you. Keep coming back and sharing with us. We are here for you.
