Hello from Colorado

What a pleasure to find so many friends. Thank you for being for the warm welcomes I have received.

Here is my story.

I wanted to quit smoking as a 50th Birthday for myself. On 1.31.05 I did so and I stayed that way for 3 months. I relapsed. It became imperative to me that I quit because I was moving from Colorado to Michigan to be closer to my four beautiful Grandchildren. Four months later I knew that if I wanted to quit smoking that giving up alcohol too was my way to be successful. The combo of booze and cigarettes was what I liked. So on May 27, 2005 I gave up both. I can remember being in my bedroom looking at the red mountains sprinkled with snow covered evergreens as I closed my eys and said "God, please help me. I am tired of living this way and want to change. I know I can't do this alone."

I have stayed sober ever since and am working on another smoking quit with 265 days under my belt.
