Icon16 Loving Others Deeply

“He told us to love each other, in line with the original command. As we keep his commands, we live deeply and surely in him, and he lives in us. And this is how we experience his deep and abiding presence in us: by the Spirit he gave us.” 1 John 3:23-24 The Message
How are you going to live today.
Following Jesus is about love … living deeply in His love … loving others deeply … and experiencing his deep and abiding presence. You cannot sustain a life of loving others without living deeply in Christ. Your life will run dry … You’ll run out of patience … You’ll give up when others fail. Jesus said your love would identify you as one of His disciples. The world you live in will try over and over to persuade you to live in yourself … to live for things … or to love objects. Jesus invites you to live in Him and He would live in you. He promised you His Spirit to guide you and give you everything you need to live a whole life in Christ. And yet … the simplest, life-changing command is to love each other. It should define your life today. It only takes a moment…
“And now, children, stay with Christ. Live deeply in Christ. Then we’ll be ready for him when he appears, ready to receive him with open arms, with no cause for red-faced guilt or lame excuses when he arrives.’ 1 John 2:28 The Message
