Icon16 Your old life is dead

“Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life — even though invisible to spectators — is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too — the real you, the glorious you.” Colossians 3:3-4 The Message
What does the real you look like?
The “real you” is more alive than you will ever imagine. The “real you” is nourished by the very breath and blood of Christ. The “real you” is being loved at this very moment into a God-shaped life overflowing in robust love. There was an “old you” … a life undernourished and underdeveloped by trying to find it in your own strength. Your “old life” never had enough. Your “new life” is in Christ. He is to be the source of your everything. You may find yourself tempted to neglect the “real source” of your life. Life can get busy, get behind, get crazy . God wants you to grow up healthy in Him. He won’t abandon you when you when your life jumps the tracks. He’ll find you and clean you up and get you back on the road to “life in Christ” … Life in the Father’s house is nurtured in health and wholeness… Holy Spirit health. Life in Jesus connects you to other lives in Jesus. This way the “real you” can begin to grow in the shape that God has intended all along.. It only takes a moment …..
“We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16 The Message
