Congratulations on day 1! Way to go! I quit March 16, 2007. I have done it one day at a time with the help of God, using the 12 steps, family, friends and support from here. I also joined up at quitnet.com . I have to say I feel so much better now and am glad to not be tied to the ball and chain of smoking. One of the things I heard mentioned in the beginning was to think of myself as a nonsmoker. So think of yourself as a nonsmoker. I also chewed alot of gum to start with but don't chew as much now. I didn't gain any weight because of quitting. Keep checking in here and letting us know your progress. We care and want to support you. We also have an Online Journal forum here http://www.cyberrecovery.net/forums/...splay.php?f=29 . Feel free to start a journal of your own there. I look forward to hearing more from you. I will lift you up in prayer.

Chris,
My biggest problem was insomnia. I did cold turkey and had insomnia for around 9 days or so.
