Great topic and a great reminder. Without sobriety we would have nothing, well except misery, pain, etc... . I am always grateful for my sobriety because I have been at the bottom, nowhere else to turn but to suicide. When I want to feel sorry I just think about what is important today, first is my sobriety ( 12 step program, my Higher Power who I choose to call Jesus Christ, fellowship, and life with all of its wonderful problems ), my family, cause I am not hurting them or making them worry, my job, and my problems before I could not handle them today I can. I thank all of you, my Higher Power for my sobriety today. God Bless and have a Merry Chrismas to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is wonderful having another clean and sober holiday.Sobriety is an awesome gift. I have had a few and they just keep getting better and better as i grow. I could have never done it by myself. Totally powerless here, a Power greater than me who i have in Jesus Christ, and having good sponsors to guide me, wonderful people in AA and NA, help me have all the blessings in my life today. Thank you eveyone online here for sharing your ES&H on a regular basis. Thank You all for being a part of my recovery. Sobriety is a priceless gift!

Having just completed my first sober Christmas in many years, I feel saddened that I wasted so many before and heartened by the ones that are in my future. Sobriety is at the top of my gratitude list this Christmas without a doubt.

Second Chance

I am very grateful that I have been given the gift of sobriet, for so long I thought all there was in life was pain and sadness and a lot of numbness. This year i once again get to experiance life instead of letting it go by. It has not been easy with moving and starting over in a new state, but I am glad that I did that, I am glad to be alive and sober today.Happy News to all.
