Icon23 3 John 2 New Year Inspiration 2009

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” A Message from 3 John 2 for the year 2009 and your own situation right now.

Dick B.

Dr. Bob’s wife Anne Ripley Smith incorporated that message from 3 John 2 in the journal she shared each morning with AAs and their families at the Quiet Times at Dr. Bob’s Home, Akron.
She declared how great it would be if the President would announce this message to all of us.

2009 will bring some challenging and valuable new resources to those who want and seek them.

1. The ever-growing Dr. Bob Core Library in St. Johnsbury, Vermont will be fully stocked.

2. There will be A NEW WAY OUT conference in May for Christians in the recovery arena
who want to share their experience, problems, solutions, and offers of help. See http://www.ANewWayOut.com.

3. The new biography of Dr. Bob (“The Prince of All Twelfth-Steppers”) which is in its final draft will be available very soon to those who would like to read it.

4. The ever-increasing and very welcome phone calls, emails, and letters from all over the world will keep coming. Almost uniformly the communicators tell how much they love their recovery fellowship, how much they would like to learn its history and real religious roots, and how much they’d like to form a study group, have a conference, or tell others.

5. Some of you are talking about coming to Maui to see the sunlight, beaches, rainbows, and whales. And why not!

Have a prosperous, healthy, and very happy New Year. December 31, 2009. dickb@dickb.com!
As Bonnie tells us so often from the Wilson House in Vermont, “God is good. All the time.” It’s all about relying on our Heavenly Father, claiming what His son accomplished for us, and walking in fellowship. God Bless, Dick
