Icon16 God's Kingdom

“God’s kingdom was his theme … People brought anybody with an ailment, whether mental, emotional, or physical. Jesus healed them, one and all.” Matt. 4:23–24 The Message
The Kingdom life …
It is only found around Jesus. It is for “anybody with mental .. emotional .. or physical dead-end alleys and dark dungeons”. It is where you will not keep “repeating” the pit-trapping sins of your life. Dead-end alleys are not always dark things. Good intentions and self-effort can be dead ends. Dark dungeons are those places in your life … your heart … and your mind that leave you chained to yourself and trying to find a way out by yourself. Jesus brought The Kingdom: God’s government and way of life for every Christ Follower. God “rescued” you from all the places in your life that would keep you from being healed and whole in His Son. He is still rescuing lives today. He is the Rescuing One. Your dead-end alleys and dark dungeons are the very places that He walks right into to find you and bring you out into the freedom of His kingdom. Jesus heals … one and all. It is who He is. It is what His kingdom represents. And it only takes a moment to reach out for the Rescuing One’s power to save you. It only takes a moment for Jesus get rid of those condemning sins. It only takes a moment to begin today to live life in God’s kingdom and not yours….
“God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.” Colossians 1:13-14 The Message
