New...

Hi, my names Erika. Obviously, I am new.
I've been clean and sober on again off again for about two years now.
I saw the link for this site somewhere, and decided I'd give getting clean another shot.

Hey Erika!
Glad you decided to give recovery another try! I agree with Zoomie, Independence Day is a special day to get sober. It was actually my plan to get sober LAST July 4. It took until August 20 for me to fully surrender my addiction problem to my Higher Power. Surrender of my problems to a BIG GOD, and acceptance of others just as they are / and my situation just as it is have been the keys for me in staying clean thus far. I hope you'll keep coming back, look forward to getting to know you.
All my best,
Frannie from Atlanta, GA

Erika

and from me, Felicity.

Nice to meet you and I'm glad you found the link to us I've been here since Jan.06 and am very grateful to say it has become my home and sanity!!! I've been amphet clean for 6 and half years, an alcoholic since 15 and only sober since Jan this year, still amazes me that I went through drug and alcohol rehab for 9 months for my amphet addiction and only 'accepted' my alcoholism this year!!!, anyway, the past is exactly that...the past, today, here and now I'm living and loving it!! I pray you enjoy being here as much as I do, if not more the journey with friends/family here is awesome!!!

& Erika. Before I got sober for the last time I went to meetings while I was still drinking. I stopped going to meetings because I thought I could get sober on my own. It was a few years before I finally got sober and went back to meetings. I've been sober 19 years. You never have to use again. I'm glad to meet you!
