Different Methods...

I'm 19 (almost 20) and been smoking for almost 6 years. Four years ago I kicked a nasty drug habit, two years ago I quit drinking but everytime I try to quit smoking it's...different than the others. It's almost like it's become a part of me that's just become difficult to let go of. Even after I got out of army training I started up again, I smoke when I drive, after I eat, on breaks, while I read, hell, I go smoke in the snow, freezing my ass off at 1am because I couldn't stay asleep. I've heard of some medications that help you stop smoking, although I can't help but wonder about the effectiveness of these treatments (as well as the expense- I'm uninsured right now). I'm not looking for medical websites, just what's worked for others.
