day 3 of no tobacco, whew, nice but odd.

yikes, My habit is smokeless tobacco, and I have gone 3 days wo. Ran into a friend today who chews, of course, so a brief temptation came up, but I remembered, "I no longer get to do that". This is Tuesday, and my intention is to get yet another day tomorrow. That's it for now.

5 days

this is day 5. It's interesting, in an annoying way, how nicotine craving sort of comes in waves. At times, it's easy to stay away. Then five minutes later I find myself in my car driving to the store I buy my product, then, the debate over whether to turn around or not. OK. So this is day 5 w/o and my desire, my intention is to stay stopped. Take care anyone else who is in this situation.

I too understand the struggle.....i went 36hrs 40min and then messed up and smoked. Its the battle im going through right now. It is dang hard. But i did however cut down from 3packs a day to 6 a day. So im heading in the right direction. Im setting a date and going from there. Im not going to say the date because i dont want to jinks myself but i will diffanetly come back and let ya know ok. It will be soon ill say that much.

good luck when you quit. Not to "glamorize" the addiction, but man, even as I write this, going to get a can of smokeless tobacco seems like such a good idea. I am armed with a few things. First, in a bit, the intense cravings will once again slow or stop. And, I realize if I "give in" I will for sure, no question, feel crappier than if I feel a little uncomfortable for a spell.

whew, I came this close to buying a can of tobacco today, as in, I was in my car heading to the store I buy fresh tobacco, then I turned around, then I resumed my tobacco run, then I drove off somewhere else. Wow, I want to stay stopped, and this is day 11. I think today is ok, and I Want to stay stopped.

it seems noone is on here. Well, I'm doing it for myself, which makes sense. This is my 12th day. Pretty easy today, and knock on wood for tomorrow.

thanks! Yep, day 13 today. I've put several addictions "behind" me but this one is the most, something, I guess annoying, or difficult. But my full intention for this day is NO tobacco.

Very good - I agree that from all dependencies this is the sneakiest one. You are doing great avoiding all the traps.
Nicotine is associated with all situations and it takes time to unlearn and to learn to live without.
I am at 4 months without nicotine and I am so glad. I feel so much better.
I know I am powerless against nicotine so I have to stay away from it otherwise it will kill me. I don't want any addiction in my life.
for another day without nicotine.
