I don't know why, but I am continually surprised by how quick things change when you doing it, you know, being mental. a week ago I lifted 22 grand from the money shop in paisley by cashing a lawyers cheque in a false name. I was six weeks into a bender and I was on a roll. I was charged and burning with a combination of valium, crack, heroin and bailey's irish cream. I was on one hell of a roll.

I am currently in the third day of withdrawal and I cannot sleep, I am totally skint, the police have all my money, I am facing a long time in jail and my best friend broke into my house.

I could bore you with the details but it gets a bit gruesome so i wont bother. Anyway hello fellow sober people and good luck with your demons and all that

Hi Jimmy and welcome. Hopefully this is you're last bottom, facing jail time. You can stay clean & sober one day at a time.

Jimmy-Welcome. This disease is certainly an evil enemy that takes us into all kinds of darkness. I hope you find peace in knowing that the God of your understanding-your high power-is there for you at this bleak time. I know what you are going through and I wish you well. Keep coming back.

Hi, Jimmy. Sounds like the end of the good times. I reached a point in my using where no matter how much I drank, or how many drugs I took, it wasn't enough to blot out my pain. There weren't anymore good times- and I never could find that pefect combination of just the right amount of this plus a bit of that and half of one of these with a toke or two of...my drug of choice was whatever you were offering. And I usually went from start to blotto as fast as possible. I hope that you can hook up with some sober friends in jail. If there are AA meetings, GO. If there aren't, get a Big Book and READ IT! Then start your own meetings. Things can only get better, but you've got to be willing.
Love & Peace
BETH
