Hi Betty
I am cassie, grateful recovering alcoholic. Albert is fortunate that you are there to understand. The Big Book has a chapter on The Family After (recovery). You can read it on line here. We also have a section for Family and Friends.

I hope you keep coming back to share. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask - you can do that in open forum or by private message.

Welcome Home

Glad to see you here Betty. This is the place where the healing starts. I am inspired by your courage to reach out and become a positive part of your husbands recovery. And Congratulations to Albert, too, for 23 days!!! That is just a miracle.
You can both find every sort of help and support here, both for you and him. You both need to know that you can always reach out to the people here. Both of you together and each of you individually. Just don't forget that we are here for you too, because we know that our addictions affected all the other people in our lives as much as they affected us. So don't forget to take care of yourself too, Betty. We love you both and there are a ton of people here who will always be ready to help.
Love you both and you are in my prayers.

Kai
