Lightbulb Sober guy doing it one day at a time

Hi all,
Glad to have finally found the time to register. I am 3 mos and about 14 days into recovery. The journey has been filled with many ups and downs for me, but I have found a sense of inner peace through my higher power that I have never experienced before. Living in the day has helped me immensely to keep things in perspective. One thing I do know (there is much more that I don't!) is that I never want to go back to the life I was living drowning my feelings with alcohol. It numbed my pain, but also numbed my joy. The fellowship has immense power to us who can find a way out of ourselves and ask for help.
Gratefully in recovery

Hi Bob
Welcome to the cite. I am cassie, gratefully recovering alcoholic. Many of the promises of the steps have come true in my life so far. And there is so much more to learn, as long as I do it a day at a time.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

& Bob C! I'm from northeast PA sober since 2/27/87 one day at a time. I know I never want to go back to being the blackout drinker I was. Nice to meet you.
