Arrogance
"Arrogance says, "I can do it alone." Arrogance needs no "God", yet unknowingly worships many "gods". Arrogance looks bold and strong and abrasive. Arrogance is is a nine-letter word for "fear".
Arrogance pretends to stand above all others because it fears it is below all. Arrogance says, "I need no one," for fear that no one will accept, receive, love. Arrogance is the loneliest boldness of all. Arrogance is puffed up-only because it is hollow. Arrogance is pretentious-because it fears it whole life has been lived under false pretenses. Arrogance distances others-because it is too risky to say, "I need you." Arrogance is a "luxury" which incest survivors cannot afford. For us arrogance is no less than a living death."
