Hey dana you are in the right place. I too am a recovering addict. I would like to give you some sugestions, and they are only that, suggestions.
Go to meetings, get some phone numbers and use them.
Get a sponsor, someone who has a working knowledge of the twelve steps and twelve traditions of Narcotics Anonymous. Work those steps with that person.
We are not responsible for our addiction, we are responsible for our recovery.
Above all, give your self a break, easy does it, we didn't become addicted in one day.
I spent thirty years in active addiction, destroying everything and everyone that got in my way.
Thanks to the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous and the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, I never have to use again. I am well on my way, and you too can do it. Just don't pick up.
We ere all the time, there are some awesome addicts on this board that have your best interest at heart.
Keep coming it gets different.

Dana, snugsnug has given some great suggestions for you. And if you like you can start a online journal here located near the bottom of the board.
We stay clean, "Just for Today".
